| The
Company Merchant Limited
supply a wide
variety of business information
reports, from simple company information
through to full business credit reports
showing a detailed financial analysis
of the company, with examples to
view of each type so you know the
type of information which is likely
to be included on your company credit report.
When searching for companies, spacing
full stops, capital letters etc
are not required. When searching
for officers of a company, the name
has to start with the information
you type in - if you know a person
is called Anthony Smith but you
dont know if its Anthony or Antony
you can either search for Ant Smith
to get close, or A Smith (which
will pick up Andrew, Aaron etc)
Company Information & Company Credit
Reports
Our entry level Company Profile
Report at £4.99
+VAT (Profile
business summary report here)
gives basic company information
including possible previous company
name, registered office address,
date of incorporation, dates of
latest accounts, and lastest annual
return, a count of how many CCJ's
have been lodged against that address,
brief details of filing history
(which documents have been filed
with Companies House) and where
possible a brief summary of their
accounts. As an entry level report,
this gives an excellent first look
into a company.
Our Company Express
Report at £9.99
+VAT (Express
company credit report here)
is a step up from the Profile report
and is the first of our reports
to include credit risk information
and often includes Directory information
such as trading address (as opposed
to Registered Office address), telephone
and fax numbers, auditors and bankers
details.
Our Company Overview
Report at £15.99
+VAT (Overview
business credit report here)
steps up from the Express to include
a Company/Industry comparison and
a more detailed breakdown of the
accounts.
The Company Financial
Report at £23.99
+VAT (Financial
company report here) shows the
details of any CCJ's along with
any shareholding information stored
on the database along with a much
more detaied financial view
The Company Business
Report at £34.99+VAT
(Business
analysis and Risk assessment credit
report here) is the top of the
range report, showing all information
that we have relating to the analysis
of the company detail. If there
are any mortgages or charges against
the company, the most recent 5 are
shown, a more detailed breakdown
of the financial information and
details (name, address, date of
birth, appointment date, occupation
and the number of present appointments
and resigned appointments for each
director and secretary, and shareholder
information where possible

Director Reports
The Company
Directors Report at £11.99+VAT
(example
Company Director's report here)
is a full listing of each director
and secretary involved in the company,
along with their address, date of
birth, date of appointment and the
number of other appointments and
resignations. This gives you a good
overview to see whether the officers
involved in running the company
are also involved in other companies.
You can then make your own judgement
as to whether an officer who has
37 other directorships is worth
investigating further - especially
if the company you are initially
investigating is quite new.
The Individual
Directors Report at £7.99
+VAT (example
Individual Director report here)
is a full listing of all companies
which involve the officer you are
looking into. The report includes
the company name, registration number,
date of appointment, latest accounts
date, latest turnover, pre-tax profit
and net worth. It is useful to see
that a person who is involved in
the company you are dealing with
also has other interests in other
companies.

Sole Traders / Partnerships Reports
A sole trader /
partnership business (i.e. the company
has not been registered with Companies
House) does not file any accounts
anywhere and does not have directors
or shareholders to appoint or resign
and therefore our sole trader reports
are based on general information
about the company. CCJ's however
are associated with a particular
address and so the Insight Plus
report can report on whether the
location has had any CCJ's and so
whether possibly there is any risk,
but this is not based on any accounts
information is thre is none available
The Insight
Report at £11.99
+VAT (example
business report here) gives
brief details of an non limited,
sole trader/partnership type business.
along with a list of possible county
court judgements. CCJ's relating
to similar names but at different
addresses are also reported (in
case the business has moved premises)
however you should do further investigations
to check whether these relate to
the same company or not.
The Insight
Plus Report at £21.99
+VAT (example
credit risk report here) takes
the Insight Report and adds Risk
information (a credit limit / risk
guide) to help you determine the
credit worthyness of the business.
All
information provided should be used
in conjunction with additional information
and your own judgement. The Company
Merchant Limited, cannot be held
responsible for decisions that you
make based on the information provided
in a report. Not all reports are
available for all companies. Specifically
newly formed or dormant companies
may not have analysed accounts and
so a credit score may not be available

Companies House Document Scans
Companies House have
embarked on digitising and making available
all documents submitted to them as part
of the administrative functions of a legally
formed company. Whether it be the initial
company formation documents, a change
of company name, a new appointment of
a director, the filing of mortgage charge
details, or annual accounts or annual
returns, the data they have available
currently goes back to around 1995 / 1996,
giving over 10 years worth of documents
available online. We can provide access
to this data, allowing you to review the
list of available documents for many different
companies before making your purchase.
All documents are available at £5.99+VAT
and are scanned originals of the documents
filed to Companies House by the submitter
of the document. They may additionally
have a Companies House stamp on the document
to confirm receipt or other processing
marks and so cannot, for example be used
to replace an original lost company incorporation
certificate as the words "FILE COPY"
often appear across the certificate. The
most common documents requested are Annual
Accounts, Annual Returns and mortgage
charges.
