How do credits work ?
A package is
a collection of postcode lookup credits, priced based on the amount of credits in
the package.
 As with many purchases, the more postcode credits you buy in a package the
cheaper the overall price per lookup works out to. All packages
are licensed for 12 months from the point of purchase.
Simply identify how many website enquiries, orders etc you have
in an average week, multiply by 52 to get a yearly figure and pick
the package quantity closest to that.
Note that the credits licence runs for 12 months, so any left after the 12 months,
will expire so you should choose a package which you think fits
your likely usage pattern for the year.

Number used per year: ( 4
+ 8) * 365 days
a year = 4380 lookups per year

You get 10 FREE lookups anyway to prove the
system is working on your site.
Before buying a package you should sign up and download
the files to get it set up on your website. You are automatically
allocated the 10 lookups to allow you to trial the system, and,
once its working simply log in and purchase the package you need.
Postcode lookups are for you to provide lookup services to your customers. The Royal Mail licence is strict on this point. If you have a need to provide your own internal systems with a lookup system, you are allowed to purchase a single licence of 500 lookups per year, otherwise you need to purchase a licence for each person that will use your internal systems. If you exceed the 500 lookups, Royal Mail does not licence you for any more for your internal system until 12 months have elapsed.
