Companies House is the UK registry for storing details about companies in the UK. This is PUBLICLY available information and if you know the details of the company you are interested in, you can see the registered office address free of charge - either through the Companies House website, or our own interface on this website.

Companies House will supply you the details of newly formed companies on DVD (monthly) for £12,000 per year which is well out of the reach of most businesses and you have to wait a month before you get the information.

We can supply ad-hoc data to you as and when you want it (i.e. come back once a week or once every 6 months), but we can also supply daily updates to you by email. You can filter the data so that you only pick out companies within a set distance of your offices for example, or within particular towns or postcode areas (letters such as NE for the start of the postcode, or all companies in the postal town/city of CAMBRIDGE for example). Alternatively you can take the entire unfiltered data at a much cheaper and quicker solution than the monthly system from Companies House. Data is supplied in XML or CSV format, depending on your requirements (XML for technical people, CSV - comma separated format - for importing into Excel, OpenOffice, Lotus 123 etc).

We supply the publicly available data of:

Company number, Company name, Date of incorporation, Registered Office address, Accounts end-of-year Date, Annual Return Date

along with an indicator on how active the address is (is the same registered office address used by other companies). Note: A contact name is not provided as this is only available from Companies House for £1 +VAT per company and SIC (Standard Industry Classification) codes are only provided by a company when they file their annual return 12 months after incorporation and so are not available for newly registered companies.

The service we offer filters the Companies House registry database into an easy to read form. You are paying for the service we provide - the data itself is on public record and so is free of charge.

After you have done an export and are happy with your selections, you may choose to receive new data every day, as soon as it becomes available. Based on the number of records per day or per week in your selection, you can choose a package that provides you with the records you require, to be called off over a period of time.

   We would always advise running a single "one off" purchase as a sampler before deciding on a bulk package for daily delivery, as bulk packages cannot be refunded once they have been started.

This service allows you to filter the new incorporation data from Companies House based on towns, postcodes or distances.  You can then choose to export this data on a one off, no contract, no commitment basis. If you are happy, you can then arrange daily exports based on your criteria so you are kept up to date with the new companies being formed every day.
